Pop the Balloon

Level: A1-A2

Aim: to revise/practise various structures; to practise asking and answering questions

Materials: balloons (as many as the number of students in class), paper, a string, a pin, a whiteboard marker

Scraps of paper with questions written on them (e.g. What’s the time? and a drawing of a clock telling a specific time next to it; What is your favorite school subject and why?; What do you do on Mondays? … ) are put inside balloons. The balloons are hung on a string.

Students, one by one, take one balloon each and pop it with a pin (make sure to supervise), find the scrap of paper, read the question, answer it and write the answer on the whiteboard (students can also ask each other questions).
