Aim: to introduce Past Simple of regular verbs in a fun and amusing way
Materials: whiteboard, whiteboard markers, word cards (regular verbs: rush, arrive, visit) and paper cut-outs (drawings)
My friend ed
This is my friend ed.
He comes from the past.
He is a car racer.
He is supercool.
He has 3 nicknames, but he insists on always writing his first name – ed.
When he is fast he is /t/. Ed rushed down the street.
When he is slower he is /d/. Ed arrived home.
When he is the slowest he is /Id/. Ed visited his friends.
